OM SHANTI.

How do BKs interpret the Nishkama Karma philosophy of Srimad Bhagvad Gita ? Please elaborate your views on it. How can the students benefit from this philosophy for success in their academics??

Bks believe nishkaama karma means doing karma in sakshi stage (detached stage) as an actor in drama with remembrance of the Director who is Supreme Soul himself.

That is- a karma in the conscious of God and drama is nishkaama karma. But, in reality no karma can be nishkaama karma as an actor would be paid for his acts. So, BKs believe nishkaama karma gives highest benefit (real benefit = develops or purifies soul practically). All other karmas may be seen as beneficial in material way, but are actually not beneficial as they degrade a soul.

If you are more interested in Gita, some points are here- viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1164&hilit=sermonizer

I cannot say exactly. But, they can save their time and energy from materialistic attractions and overcome bad habits if any. But, a proper time table should be done in advance and follow it.

Gita itself says, when one reaches high stage, then there is neither loss nor profit to a person from lowkik karma. So, if you expect to get benefit just in lowkik success from either Gita or Bk knowledge, it would be wrong and silly. If you are really interested in spiritual activities more than lowkik and try to go in balanced way as the direction of either the Almighty or said in Gita shlokas, then you will go without confusion. Else, one may not be able to cope up when obstacles come.
